Project Magic is a program designed to teach people
with a social, physical or psychological disadvantage to do magic
so they can show the tricks to their family and friends.
It is a fun way to practise certain motor skills. It helps people
maintain their social skills and give them an improved self esteem.

Project Magic has been active at the Universitary Hospital in Ghent.
Every month two magicians visit the children at the ward for cancer
patients and teach them tricks.
It is mainly used as an occupational therapy, for doing exercises
with arms and fingers and for improving the children’s self
esteem.
By doing magic tricks, they can do something their friends and family
can’t do.
